Jessica graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies. She is currently enrolled and will be starting her master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University to further her learning of communications; specifically specializing in conflict resolution.
Jessica has been in the legal industry since 2010 and has experience in family law, probate, civil litigation, and bankruptcy. In 2018 she shifted focus to arbitration and compliance.
Personally, Jessica’s biggest accomplishment is raising two strong women who are now out of the nest conquering the world, one step at a time. She enjoys working out, hiking and playing with her dog.
When I talk to advisers, I’m focused on their mindset as much as I am on their compliance program. An adviser or compliance officer who is in a negative headspace, worried, anxious or depressed, is not going to see the opportunity before them, and will be overwhelmed by the work that must be done. So I work with our clients to develop a positive and abundance mindset so that they can approach compliance with the same joy and passion that I do.
Some of my favorite quotes that I like to share with our clients are:
“Growth and comfort do not coexist” – Ginni Rometty
“Don’t be limited by what you don’t know. That can be your greatest strength and ensure that you do things differently than everyone else” – Sara Blakely
“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be straightened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.” -Helen Keller
